Northwestern Oklahoma State University admissions without application fee for 2024–25

This material is for you if you are a senior in high school, attended a traditional or homeschooled education, graduated from high school, or obtained your GED, but have not enrolled in a regular course at a college or university.

To embrace the colors red and black and to applaud loudly when our fight song, “Ride, Rangers, Ride,” or our alma mater, “Oh Northwestern,” are performed, one must embrace the hashtag #BeARanger. It entails forming connections with individuals who are both like and unlike you, as well as ensuring that the administration, teachers, staff, and community members are aware of your identity, are interested in your accomplishments, and are willing to stop by when you need someone to listen.

Concerning Northwestern Oklahoma State University

Northwestern Oklahoma State University is a public regional university that has gained recognition across the country for offering affordable tuition along with a top-notch academic program. Northwestern accepts students from more than 40 states and 20 countries, while its main service area is the large region that encompasses northwest Oklahoma and the Panhandle.

The primary campus is situated in Alva, a northwest Oklahoma city of about 5,000 people. Alva is roughly 115 miles northwest of Oklahoma City, 100 miles southwest of Wichita, Kansas, and 14 miles south of the Kansas border. The town supports the university wholeheartedly and even donates sales tax revenue to support scholarships.

To obtain their Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees, students can select from more than 40 different fields of study. In addition to a Ph.D. program in nursing practice, Northwestern University provides master’s degrees in education, counseling psychology, and American studies.

Living in university dorms, dining in the cafeteria or Student Center Snack Bar, being involved in Greek life or campus organizations, going to home sporting events, and attending a plethora of other campus activities all contribute to the dynamic on-campus college experience that awaits students.

Enid and Woodward, the two biggest communities in northwest Oklahoma, are home to other Northwestern sites.

Northwestern University offers accessible, inexpensive access to higher education by delivering upper-level courses leading to an undergraduate or graduate degree. This helps a broad population, including adult learners, realize their career and educational goals. Many students transfer seamlessly to Northwestern to complete their four-year degree by taking advantage of the Bridge Program between Northwestern and Northern Oklahoma, a nearby community institution.

Reasons to Select Northwestern Oklahoma State University

Take in a lecture or sporting event. Participate in intramural sports, join the school newspaper, or offer your services to the community as a volunteer. Take part in a club or form your own! Spend time with friends in the dorm, cafeteria, cybercafé, or student center. Additionally, you can enter the yearly Miss Northwestern Pageant if you want to compete for the title of Miss Oklahoma.

By engaging in these extracurricular activities, you will develop into a more well-rounded person and gain leadership experience, which will increase your marketability when it comes time to apply for employment after graduation. You will also create lifelong connections during this time. Additionally, you’ll acquire the Ranger Pride that people who have had positive experiences on campus remark about.

Northwestern’s campuses in Woodward and Enid give students the convenience of pursuing higher education without having to drive as far, while the university’s Alva campus gives a true college experience. Lots of student activities are available at both campuses.

You may wish to make use of the J.R. Holder Wellness Center in Alva if you want to work out without going outside. The $3.2 million facility features racquetball courts, an aerobics area, a hot tub, a sauna, a walking/running track, and a strength training area.

While many students work on campus, there are plenty of part-time jobs in Alva, Enid, and Woodward at various businesses.

We sincerely hope you have a great time on campus, but keep in mind that everything you achieve is ultimately up to you. Your time as a Northwestern student is fleeting, so make the most of it.
