Job Title: Freight Coordinator

This Position:

  • To design, implement, improve, and execute Newmont’s logistics and transportation rules and guidelines to drive Supply Chain goals and objectives for logistics and freight activities.
  • To supervise all administrative regional modal and transportation planning operations to ensure compliance with regional government and Newmont policies.
  • To strengthen and develop Newmont’s logistics and transportation management.

In This Role, You Will:

Customer Relations

  • To satisfy suppliers, freight forwarders, and end users, communicate.
  • Customer claims and Freight Forwarder settlement.

SAP Freight Account Invoice Review and Management

  • Responsible for reviewing freight invoices for accuracy and cost center assignment
  • To ensure freight cost allocation, reconcile Freight Account with Finance periodically.

Execution

  • Newmont’s freight and logistics operations and administration.
  • Manage Newmont Freight operations.
  • Improve shipping.
  • Plan and track customer-requested product shipment.
  • Freight shipment and transportation communication.
  • Document freight and transportation as required by law and recordkeeping.
  • Assess freight provider performance, quality, and cost.
  • Find novel freight and logistics cost-cutting and efficiency methods.

Local Content

  • Support site local content strategy in line with regional and global strategies.

Training, Skills, and Experience Checklist:

Formal Qualifications:

  • BS in business, supply chain, engineering, or comparable subject or equivalent experience.
