New Job Opportunity at Mastercard Foundation

ROLE: Executive Director, Special Programs

The Mastercard Foundation aspires to create a world in which everyone has the chance to study and flourish. The Foundation collaborates with partners through its Young Africa Works strategy and Canadian EleV initiative to ensure that millions of young people, particularly young women, have access to quality education, financial services, and dignified jobs. When Mastercard became a public business in 2006, it generously formed the Mastercard Foundation. The Foundation operates on its own, with its own Board of Directors and CEO.

THE FOUNDATION’S WORK

We are in an exciting time at the Mastercard Foundation as we ramp up the implementation of the Young Africa Works plan, which aims to enable 30 million young people in Africa to find dignified and fulfilling work.

We have opened offices in Rwanda, Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Uganda to ensure the Foundation’s accessibility to our partners and program participants. These offices provide substantial in-country assistance for Young Africa Works implementation. We work with governments, the private sector, educators, and other funders to improve the quality of education and vocational training, prepare young people for the workforce, increase access to financial services for entrepreneurs and small businesses, and connect job seekers with meaningful employment opportunities.

Our ideals serve as guiding principles, transcending and outweighing all other factors. We enthusiastically urge you to contribute your daring ideas, inquisitiveness, and skill to your job.
