ROLE: Coverage Sector Lead 

Purpose

In critical sectors, provide the company with in-depth client, sector, and market information. In accordance with shareholders’ strategic objectives, generate business and find cross-sell opportunities for RMB and the broader First Rand Group. Manage a corporate customer portfolio within the selected sector.

Responsibilities

  • Set portfolio targets in accordance with product price.
  • Plan the portfolio’s strategic goals.
  • Tool for managing opportunities.
  • Client interactions and feedback on client advancements should be communicated to stakeholders.
  • Begin client scoping sessions to learn more about your clients.
  • Begin brainstorming meetings to find possibilities and manage action items throughout the group.
  • Develop novel solutions for certain product sectors.
  • Continuously interrogate and manage MIS data to reduce income leakage.
  • Manage credit facilities proactively to ensure proper limits are in place.
  • On behalf of clients, manage working capital.
  • Find new business while adhering to coverage disciplines such as sales campaigns, liabilities, cash, CAPS, and Opportunity Tracker.
  • Make cold calls in order to generate new business and expand the portfolio.
  • Manage unsolved client issues that have been escalated.
  • Manage complicated connections throughout support areas in order to get the best possible outcome for both the client and the bank.
  • Develop and maintain good working connections with all stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional talents to begin discourse, listen, advise, influence, and negotiate.
  • Begin meetings with key stakeholders to track progress, manage expectations, and ensure the needs of stakeholders are addressed.
  • Ascertain that client expectations are met or surpassed.
  • To reach win-win outcomes, use persuasion and negotiation.
  • Proactively communicate and share information, as well as stimulate debate and discussion (share triumphs and identify issues).

Experience and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally in business, is required.
  • Years of relevant experience: 7 to 10 years in a similar function and industry.
