About this opportunity
As Marketing Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, it will be your job to create and carry out the country’s marketing plan in line with company strategy and to meet the company’s goals. You will answer to the Marketing Director, who lives in Switzerland. You will live in Ghana and travel often within the market and to the EMEA headquarters in Switzerland.
In this position, you’ll…
- Localize the regional marketing plan to meet local needs and expectations to increase brand awareness, doctor recruitment, and growth including:
- Strategy Planning as part of Annual Operating Plans
- Localize campaign materials
- Planning for media, including digital
- Local evidence development (publications, speakers)
- Local conventions and shows
- OPEX Budget Management
- Proactively represent the market cluster and our customers by giving NPD and global strategy development insights and analytics.
- Use analytics and insights, such as the return on investment (ROI) of a campaign, customer reimbursement, and the competition, to help carry out the marketing plan.
- Build a KOL (Key Opinion Leader) network of speakers, key customers, and institutions to help carry out the plan.
- As a member of a multidisciplinary country leadership team, you will drive and own communication as part of the marketing plan.
- Besides the regional plan, find and push for local growth opportunities.
In this role, you’ll need…
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in business or marketing
- 5 or more years of experience in marketing and/or communication management, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry at the country level.
- Experience in the medical device industry, preferably with products that are sensitive to active consumer/patient demand in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
- Results-driven and able to think strategically
- Excellent ability to talk to people and give speeches
- English very well
- We are only looking for people who are citizens of Ghana.
