POSITION: Senior Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Business Analyst helps the global Shared Services partners, such as the process directors, managers, and team leads of all the departments they work with. They are experts at leading and designing projects for metrics and reporting, statistical analysis, and process improvement, and they are a dedicated resource for complex processes.

The Senior Business Analyst needs to be good at project management, Lean Six Sigma, automation, process optimization and simplification, designing Kaizen events, and being a leader. They should also be able to work on their own and use methods to find opportunities and projects, which they can then discuss with senior leadership and help them make decisions about. This role is also an expert on the assigned process and teaches others, including team members, how to solve problems in a creative way that still meets standards.

Business Analysts (BA) work closely with their clients, who are also business analysts, to turn data into important information and knowledge that can be used to make good business decisions.

Major Responsibilities

BUSINESS ANALYSIS (55%)
  • Get and keep track of information in financial systems.
  • Make systems for collecting data and analyzing it in a structured way.
  • Make sure that all projects have performance indicators and a way to track them.
  • Design & maintain data visual management tools.
  • Lots of use of O365 Teams, SharePoint, and what they can do.
  • Analysis of complex data.
  • Make process documentation and keep it up to date.
  • Run workshops to find opportunities and map out processes.
  • Follow global standards for IT, Finance, Data Management, and everything else.
BUSINESS ACUMEN (20%)
  • SME for the business processes they were given.
  • Process owners and other interested parties can get direct help with their data collection and uploads.
  • Help with process mapping needs and projects.
  • Wide knowledge of processes from beginning to end.
  • General knowledge of how WV works around the world.
  • Meet with global FOs and ROs all the time to find out what they need and to help with questions and improvements.
IMPROVEMENT ALL THE TIME (20%)
  • Project management helps support and lead projects.
  • Six Sigma improvement projects should look into and analyze quality standards.
  • Work together to make the world a better place.
  • Implement best practices.
  • Lead and coach projects using Lean Six Sigma.
  • Help make Kaizen events for process design and process improvement happen.
  • Send requests to change processes to the groups in charge and ask for their approval.

COACHING AND MENTORING (5%)
  • Coaches or mentors less experienced personnel.
  • Encourages the development of a culture of continuous improvement to help the ongoing activities to find ways to save money.
  • Helps guide projects and leaders across functional teams.
  • Skills and knowledge needed for the job

Knowledge/Qualifications For The Role

Required Professional Experience

  • At least three to five years of experience making and supporting tools and systems for data analysis
  • Process and system implementation experience, especially with SUN and Coupa Database maintenance
  • Knowledge of business and process in the Shared Services and Supply Chain
  • Microsoft Office 365 Pro (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word)
  • Working with virtual and/or matrix teams is a plus.
  • Experience working with teams from different cultures is ideal.
  • Experience working with senior leadership and executive leadership to make sure that project information is given on time and is correct.
  • Experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) developing and maintaining Finance and Procurement processes and/or tools, helping to lead change and future developments as needed to lead to best-in-class performance overall.

Education, training, a license, registration, and certification are needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or an engineering-related field, or the equivalent
  • Wide knowledge of finance, accounting, and/or buying; 3 or more years of experience (within Shared Services is a plus).
  • Certification for the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Project Management Fundamentals certification
  • Knowledge and qualifications that would be helpful
  • Experience with ERP systems, tools for managing expenses, databases, and solutions for workflow
  • PMP certification in project management is strongly preferred
  • Agile/Scrum preferred
