Job Title: Radio Officer

Lively Minds, an award-winning organization, is looking for people to help with our ambitious and exciting Early Childhood Development initiative in Ghana and Uganda.
Job Description.
The Radio Officer is critical to ensuring the overall success of our program. Their tasks include training, technical support, and capacity building for districts. In this capacity, the Radio Officer will advise and coach GES staff, give structured training sessions, and provide continuing support for the radio program.
With a high level of responsibility, the Radio Officer will interact directly with GES and handle government relationships. They will closely monitor district performance and aid district teams in dealing with difficulties such as radio top-ups, audio quality checks, and live and repeat airings.
The Radio Officer will also generate reports and analyse financial reports submitted by the districts. The officer will work directly with the Lively Minds Coordinator, a GES staff member, to help them handle concerns swiftly and escalate to the District Director as needed.
The role may include frequent travel and community involvement. The Radio Officer will be in charge of budget planning and field spending accounting.

Required Skill or Experience
- To succeed in this role, you should be energetic, self-motivated, and confident.
- Expertise in community entry processes and mobilisation.
- Experienced dealing with government partners.
- An outstanding communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
- Highly organized and a good planner who can create your own work schedule.
- Proficient at using MS Word to create reports.
- Capable of creating basic trip budgets using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience delivering radio programming will be an extra bonus.
- Essential experience and skills:
- Minimum Qualification: Degree or Higher Education Diploma in early childhood or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience facilitating and delivering training.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere through enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a flexible attitude, will allow you to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- The ability to coordinate and engage large audiences.
- Experience coaching and collaborating with government stakeholders.
- Comfortable with frequent trips and overnight stays.
- Technically literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Capable of quickly adapting and learning new technological systems.
- Licensed and skilled motorcycle rider, comfortable travelling in challenging terrain.
Desirable Experience and Skills:
- Experience collaborating with GES (or other government departments) and other education stakeholders/organizations
- Experience working for a non-governmental organization.
- Experience in community mobilisation or sensitization efforts.
You will be expected to perform in accordance with the Lively Minds competencies.
