Job Title: Learning & Development Manager

Introduction

Role Purpose

The L&D Manager is in charge of making sure that workers are more productive. This job is in charge of figuring out how the sales team and the rest of the company can improve by figuring out what training options are needed. This job actively looks for, comes up with, and uses effective ways to teach, improve performance, and identify performance.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, or a related field is needed. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of solid experience creating and running programs to help employees grow.
  • It’s a plus to have experience in the financial services business;
  • You must have a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance credential.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Does an annual review of individual and organizational training and development needs;
  • Plans, programs, and goals for training and growth are made;
  • Plans and runs classes, workshops, etc. for learning;
  • Creates good training materials by using a range of methods;
  • Drive different ways of learning throughout the company, such as teaching, mentoring, job shadowing, online training, and so on;
  • Onboards new employees and makes sure teams know about both old and new products;
  • Managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee growth are trained and coached so they can better help their teams.
  • Develops and keeps communications like intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to make sure employees know about training and development events and tools;
  • Follow-up studies are done on all training that has been finished to assess and measure results;
  • Give your supervisor a detailed report every month on your work plans, the success of your training, etc.
  • Administers spending against budget;
  • Do any other tasks that the boss gives you that are within the role’s scope and context.

Competencies

  • Having knowledge of effective ways to learn and grow
  • Knowledge of different learning tools and methods, such as LMS
  • Excellent skills in both speaking and writing.
  • Strong speaking skills.
  • Skilled with a number of tools and methods for training that use multimedia.
  • Ability to plan and carry out training and growth that works.
  • Willing to go on long trips across the country.
