Job Description.
Roche Diagnostics Africa is looking for a payer and access evidence specialist. You, the successful incumbent, will be part of the Healthcare Access Chapter, accountable for supplying evidence supporting the desired market access initiatives for the allocated areas and in line with the Africa subregion strategy.
Key Challenges
Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and sustain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, and share insights with chapters and networks to inform company strategy.
- Establish and maintain contacts with important internal and external payer and policy specialists, and contribute to the development of methodologies relevant to payer and policy activities.
- Ensure that all functional activities are strategically aligned with the chapters and networks of the organization.
Healthcare Landscape Assessment
Stay current on the reimbursement/access landscape and academic research topics to ensure that new approaches are incorporated into economic models and communications.
Payer and Access Evidence
- Develop integrated evidence plans to ensure that the access strategy is translated into evidence generation. This will include, among other things, offering professional HEOR insights on study designs and collaborating with the Healthcare Access teams and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate the execution of the evidence strategy, including leading evidence evaluations through literature reviews, building access publication plans and external value messaging, and working on real-world data investigations.
- Create draft abstracts, articles, and external value communications.
- Collaborate with networks to help adjust models and analysis for local reimbursement applications.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects in the region
- You, the ideal applicant, will have the following abilities, experience, and education:
Required Qualification:
- Degree in Health economics, Economics, Life Sciences, Public Health, Epidemiology, Medicine, or a related subject.
- Required Experience: At least five years of professional experience in healthcare consulting, diagnostics, academia, or a related industry.
- Experience collaborating with funders, payers, and government reimbursement authorities.
- Previous experience using evidence to inform market access decisions. Research publications and communication to a scientific audience
- Other requirements: Multidisciplinary knowledge or background in a wide range of functions, locations, or healthcare systems inside and beyond access is advantageous.
- Ability to travel both nationally and internationally.
