ROLE TITLE: Cybersecurity Analyst
The best candidate will have a deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices, as well as the ability to analyze security incidents and figure out what to do about them.
Key Obligations and Responsibilities
- Keep an eye on the network data and security event logs to find out if there are any possible security breaches or threats.
- Do security checks, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests on a daily basis to find weaknesses and fix them quickly.
- Analyze security incidents, such as malware infections, phishing efforts, and unauthorized access, and decide what to do about them.
- Work with teams from different departments to set up security measures like firewalls, access controls, and encryption procedures.
- Keep up with the latest trends, threats, and tools in cybersecurity to make sure that the Company’s defenses are current and effective.
- Create and keep security documentation, such as policies, processes, and plans for what to do in case of an incident.
- Help with the design and execution of security solutions like intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and endpoint security.
- Give your workers training on security awareness to build a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
- Take part in the on-call rotation so that you can deal with urgent security problems outside of normal work hours.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related area.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM, are a plus.
- 3 or more years of proven experience in cybersecurity research, responding to incidents, or a similar field.
- A deep understanding of network protocols, firewall settings, and security tools.
- Tools and methods for evaluating security, such as vulnerability scanners and penetration testing systems, should be known.
- Strong intellectual and problem-solving skills so that security risks can be found and dealt with.
- You need to be able to communicate well with both technical and non-technical teams in order to work well together.
- Strong sense of right and wrong and a dedication to keeping sensitive information private and safe.
