POSITION: Production Supervisor

Company Profile

Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited (CNML) is a subsidiary of Shandong Gold Mining Co. Ltd., which is listed on both the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. CNML is developing its core asset in Ghana’s Upper East Region with the strategic aim of creating a world-leading, highly lucrative, and responsible gold mining operation.

Job Description.

• Location: Bolgatanga (mine site).
• Section / Unit: Mine Production
• Reports to: Superintendent – Operations.
• Direct Reports: None.

Job Purpose

To coordinate and offer shift guidance to the mine contractor on the mine crew’s operational activities in the open pit area, ensuring that contractors follow safety standards, operational protocols, and production targets.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with mining contractors to ensure project requirements, safety specifications, and output targets are met.
• Monitor and assess contractor performance to ensure project schedules and production targets are met.
• Collaborate with contractors to efficiently manage resources, such as labour, equipment, and materials, within budgetary limitations.
• Deliver regular progress reports to higher management, emphasising accomplishments, difficulties, and potential solutions.
• Communicate project goals, expectations, and any plan revisions to contractors in an open and transparent manner.
• Collaborate with contractors to improve mining processes, equipment utilisation, and material transport.
• Conduct regular inspections to evaluate the quality of work and make suggestions for improvements.
• Implement and monitor quality control methods to verify that mining activities comply with established standards and contractual obligations.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the Supervisor in accordance with the needs of the company.

Required Skill or Experience

• Minimum qualification: B.Sc. in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Proven expertise in mining operations, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role focusing on contractor management.
• Certificate of Competency for Minerals Commission Foreman or Mine Captain.
• Valid Ghanaian driving licence (minimum B)
• Minimum experience.
• Experienced and knowledgeable about mining equipment.
• Experience in large-scale open-pit hard rock mining.
• In-depth understanding of safety rules and environmental compliance.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication abilities.
