International Finance Corporation Global Internship Program
Description
IFC is the largest global development organization that works with the private sector in emerging markets. It is part of the World Bank Group. We work in more than 100 countries, where we use our money, knowledge, and power to make markets and opportunities. In the fiscal year 2022, IFC gave a record $32.8 billion to private companies and financial institutions in developing countries.
This was done to use the power of the private sector to end extreme poverty and increase shared prosperity as economies deal with the effects of global crises that keep getting worse. To find out more, go to www.ifc.org.
As part of our Global Internship Program, the IFC offices in Ghana and Cameroon need an intern (GIP). The Global Internship Program (GIP) gives highly motivated people the chance to learn about the mission and work of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank Group as a whole, and to join the largest private sector development institution in the world.
The program encourages people to bring new ideas and points of view to IFC’s work while improving their skills in an environment that is diverse and very stimulating. Also, the Global Internship Program is a one-of-a-kind chance to share ideas and network with international professionals who are working to end extreme poverty and make the developing world more prosperous.
The time for the internship will be from June to September 2023.
Jobs and responsibilities:
- Doing market research on the growth of manufacturing, agribusiness, and services (MAS) in Central Africa and Ghana
- Building relationships with businesses
- Can write and make presentations professionally (in both English and French);
- Skilled with presentation and MS office tools;
Selection Criteria
- To be eligible, candidates must be enrolled in a Master’s degree program and expect to graduate after December 1, 2023.
- Must have a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), with a focus on finance or accounting.
- Must have worked in the field for at least three years.
- Knowledge of how to do market research
