Job Title: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

HPW Fresh and Dry Ltd is a company that works with fruit. HPW means fruit and veggies from Africa and Asia that are just picked and are crisp and crunchy. We make stand-alone products for our customers that meet the highest quality standards and are as available as possible. These products are for wholesalers, retailers, and the food business as a whole.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design, build, install, and keep up the buildings, including the power systems
- Management of the day-to-day building care
- Give the team in charge of maintaining the building technical direction.
- Fix and figure out the cause of complicated electrical problems in the building
- Set up plans for testing and maintenance for all installations.
- Help managers buy new machines and installations by giving advice
- Set up strict methods for managing work to be more productive.
- Set up good methods for judging performance to increase output.
- Use inventory management for all items used for maintenance.
- A link between operations and maintenance to help them talk to each other well
- Use software for on-site repair for all maintenance tasks
- Keeping good records of repair work
- Use of analytical tools to improve care
- Research and creation of efficient ways to do maintenance
- Supervise external contractors
- Maintenance workers’ training and growth
- Follow the rules for food safety
- Follow the rules for health and safety
- Putting in reports
- Relationships with other departments: stays in touch with all department heads and other line managers and staff
- Relationships with the outside world: Third-party contractors for upkeep work
- Computers and toolboxes will be used as tools.
Skills or Experience Needed
- At least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required. Technical and personal skills:
- Able to use both hand tools and machines
- Good communication skills and understanding of quality and health and safety standards
- Excellent speaking and presentation skills. Knows how to use MS Office.
- Excellent skills in time management and planning
- A team player with the ability to lead
- Strong skills for fixing problems
- Physical requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, squat, sit, and lift things on the job.
