ROLE: Operations Training Simulator Trainer (Production Operator)

Responsibility
The OTS Trainer will be in charge of all aspects of the Takoradi Shore base Office Training Centre Operations. His main job will be as an Operations Training Simulator (OTS) Trainer, but he will also sometimes help out as a Production Operator for the FPSO JAK.
OTS Trainer Duties
- Responsible for creating and implementing OTS training and competency programs for
- Yinson Production West Africa Limited (YPWAL). Responsible for managing Operations and OTS training activities, such as competency mapping, curriculum design, scenario creation, and activity administration.
- Make lesson plans and evaluation guides for Operations and the OTS training and testing.
- Evaluate how well Operators do during training and tests, and give candidates, supervisors, and management feedback as needed.
- Work with the current training and delivery methods and come up with and put in place ways to track and measure how well the Operations and OTS programs are working.
- Be in charge of collecting and sharing Operations and OTS training and competency metrics, and work with local management to make sure the Plaquemines facility meets quality and internal standards.
- Do regular audits and checks of Operations and the OTS activities, materials, and records to make sure the program as a whole is working well. Tell the Training and
- Competency Superintendent about any gaps you find and what you plan to do about them.
Production Operator Duties (if needed, on a temporary basis)
- Follow the PTW system, rules, and work procedures that are relevant to his job.
- Execute and coordinate actions to make sure that utilities and energy sources that are needed for daily production are kept in good shape.
- Help organize and run the process plant, PCR, and any other relevant utility systems.
- Test wells for performance and compliance, diagnose problems and improve production systems.
- Watch and control the process plant with as little downtime as possible
- Run the process plant and keep an eye on the relevant utility systems and PCR. Try to fix the problem.
- Run safety control systems and keep an eye on them.
- Control subsea well systems, keep an eye on them, and fix problems
- Tell CCR about any changes in process parameters that could change the quality of the cargo or the effluent water quality in a big way.
- Make the necessary reports, keep logs, and keep the right paperwork.
- Collect and organize information for daily production reports and keep a full log of all production activities.
- Look at the production report numbers
- Help the company reach its production goals.
- Make sure that the PCR and process fields are clean and in good shape.
- Keep an eye on and take care of the chemical injection equipment, and change the dose rates as needed.
- Start up and shut down operations for process plants and subsea systems
- Make sure that vendors and contractors are safe and well-managed.
- Emergency Response Team Member

- Watch for and report any activities, conditions, or situations that could be dangerous.
- Use the “Stop Work” Policy if you see something dangerous.
Qualifications
- Education and Certifications: A degree, diploma, technical qualification, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Experience: Between 5 and 10 years of running oil and gas pipelines and using Distributed Control Systems in process or chemical processing facilities.
- Get a Train the Trainer and Assessor qualification or work to make the role more useful.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of how the Operations and OTS Training Simulator works and how it can be designed.
- Know a lot about Operations and how OTS training is made and given in an operating environment.
- Effective at communicating with people and groups from different fields, industries, and government agencies at all levels of an organization.
- Organized and able to handle more than one thing at a time.
- Expertise with Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, as well as the rest of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience evaluating high-risk jobs according to recognized industry standards
