Sincerusis is looking for a full-time Senior Trainer to lead curriculum development and training for maritime repair operations for the Ghanaian Navy.
About the Program:
The Africa Maritime Security Initiative (AMSI) program aims to improve African partners’ maritime governance and enforcement, sustainment and preventive maintenance, and regional interoperability by strengthening their capacity to address threats such as transnational organized crime, piracy, armed robbery at sea, illegal fishing, and human trafficking. These unlawful marine activities contribute to regional instability and facilitate the operation of transnational illegal and extremist organizations. Failure to address these threats jeopardizes African economic development and jeopardizes US trade possibilities.
About the Project:
The project implementer will:
- create new maritime maintenance curricula for Ghanaian Navy (GN) training institutions,
- train a cadre of maritime maintenance technicians, and
- identify, train, and mentor a cadre of instructors to carry out future iterations of the maritime maintenance course. Currently, GN maritime maintenance technicians are generalists who will complete all curricula. This broad-spectrum maritime maintenance training will help the GN keep maritime security equipment operationally ready at all times.
The Senior Trainer reports to the Project Manager and is the Contractor’s point of contact for curriculum development and training implementation
Minimum Conditions:
- Senior Trainers must have at least two years of closely linked training experience with foreign military personnel.
- Senior Trainers must have at least five years of military experience as a senior maritime maintenance technician or engineer (E-8 or higher) with a demonstrated concentration on maritime maintenance operations.
- A minimum of one year of closely related experience producing POI or course curricula is required for the trainer.
- A native English speaker or DLPT 3/3 (or ILR equivalent) is required as a trainer.
