The people of Qatar were showing how much they wanted to be a part of the international unity chain and help solve the most important development and humanitarian problems that vulnerable communities all over the world face.
This willingness came from the values, principles, and cultural history of Qatari society, and Qatar Charity was the organization that could meet this need. Qatar Charity was started to help children whose lives were in danger because of wars or natural disasters. Later, it grew to help people in many different areas of humanitarian and development aid, giving comfort and help to more than 110 million people around the world.
With money from Qatar, Qatar Charity in Ghana wants to help poor and vulnerable communities get ahead and be happy by giving them the right kind of help through strong social aid systems and related services in different parts of Ghana.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The IT Officer will be in charge of handling the organization’s computer systems, hardware, software, and networks. This includes making sure that the computer systems and networks are secure and don’t have any holes. He or she will be in charge of finding and fixing technical problems in computer systems, networks, and software programs. He or she must also make sure that the organization’s data and information are safe, saved up, and that they can be retrieved in case of a disaster. To keep the organization’s systems going well, s/he must keep up with technological changes and trends in the field.
He or she will carry out these duties according to the best professional standards and make sure that the rules and procedures of Qatar Charity are followed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Takes care of computer tools and software to make sure they work well.
- Identifies and fixes technical problems with computers or software
- Sets up security steps to keep viruses and unauthorized people from getting into computer systems.
- Takes care of the organization’s information and makes sure that regular backups are done.
- Helps people with computer problems and tells them how to use software and tools correctly.
- Tests and analyzes new hardware and software to see if it is right for the company.
- Gives workers training on how to use computer systems and software well.
- Keeps up with changes in computer technology and makes suggestions for upgrades or other changes as needed.
- Any other legal tasks are given by the Country Director or the person in charge.
MOST IMPORTANT WORK DUTIES
- Troubleshooting and solving technical problems in computer systems, networks, and software applications are just some of the things you might do.
Skills or Experience Needed
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in ICT, Computer Science, or a similar field, and strong experience after graduation (at least 3 years in a related field).
- Good at talking to people.
- Experience with hardware, software, and networking, as well as computer systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thought skills, as well as knowledge of programming languages and database management systems, will be a plus.
- Must be very good at Team Viewer, M365 (Office, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Intune, MS Azure AD, VPN, MS VDI, End Point Protection, etc.), and all the other software that goes with it.
- Experience managing and prioritizing a large number of tasks and a high workload in a fast-paced workplace with tight deadlines.
- Shown that they know how to work with a group.
- Valid driver’s license V.
- Strong English skills.
- Arabic Language skills will be seen as a plus, but they are not required.
- A clear understanding of QC’s goals and values and a strong commitment to them
