Employment Opportunity at Nestlé Ghana

Nestlé Ghana is looking for a Tinshop supervisor for our factory in Tema. This person will make sure that they meet business goals by giving people the tools and encouragement they need to improve their skills and ways of working through the Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) program.

Make sure that the line’s (or shift’s) production plan is completed on time and meets all internal and external needs for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and the environment (strive for Manufacturing Excellence).

A Day in a Life……

  • Lead the safety culture and make sure the conditions are right for a safe place to work. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), changing shoes and washing hands, Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO), and other safety and cleanliness rules should be checked and followed.
  • Make sure that finished products are always made according to quality standards and appropriate instructions for making them (compliance).
  • As per Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP), make sure that the workplaces are kept clean and that all installations are in good working order.
  • Use Standard Routines and operating reviews to run production well and get results that will last.
  • Use basic problem-solving tools and One Point Lessons (OPLs) to share information and make improvements happen all the time.
  • Make sure the team’s planned growth is carried out and that the team’s skills match the plan agreed upon with the Production Manager (proper training, including equipment, safety procedures, hygiene, etc.).

  • Courage to deal with people who don’t follow the rules, and good “soft skills” like conversation skills.
  • Must know a lot about how things work and be good at figuring out what’s wrong. Problem-solving attitude.
  • Always looking for ways to make things better in terms of cost and speed.
  • Ability to keep a safe working setting by keeping things clean and following safety rules.
  • Ability to keep things running smoothly by managing and deploying resources well.
  • The ability to set goals that are both successful and difficult.
  • Leadership skills and people growth that works
  • Setting a good example at work in terms of professional behavior and good manners

Requirements

  • Having experience making and organizing metal cans will be a plus.
