Job Title: Site Support (PCV)

FLSmidth Office in Ghana

The person who gets the job will work in the Ghana Office in the Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves (PCV) department. So, we need people with a lot of experience with pumps, cyclones, and valves to apply for the job.

Your responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and rebuilding of PC&V equipment on site.
• Help put equipment into service and make sure it works the way it’s supposed to and meets safety standards.
• Tests and keeps an eye on the equipment.
• On-site troubleshooting, which includes fixing problems with operational maintenance, equipment performance, system efficiencies, and processes, is done to make sure that PCV equipment works right and performs well.
• Make sure the aftermarket business gets done on time and that the customer is happy with FLSmidth’s work.
• The monitoring of PCV inventory and working with customers and coworkers to make sure that the right amount of inventory is on-site and at FLSmidth stocking centers.
• The tracking, recording, and analyzing of how well equipment works and how fast it wears out.
• Keep a site installation database for both FLSmidth equipment and equipment from other companies.
• Keep good relationships with customers and other people who work at the site.
• Work with the regional sales and service teams to get the word out to all the right customers in the region about the products and services.

What you have

• NHD, BSC, or B.Eng.
• Experience in the mining and mineral processing industry for at least 3 years.
• At least three years of experience in the same line of work.
• English communication skills that are good both orally and in writing. Customers in the area will appreciate if you know how to speak other languages.
• Know how to choose, how big to make it, and how it works.
• Ability to talk to people, such as management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders, in a clear and effective way.
• Proven skills in both outside and inside negotiations and persuasion.
• Team player who can balance being on more than one team.
• Good skills at organizing, juggling tasks, and managing time.
