EduSpots Announces New Job Opportunity

EduSpots Announces New Job Opportunity

ROLE: Head of Staff and Professional Development

About the company

EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and locally driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity that connects, trains, and equips volunteer community educators to create transformative literacy and STEM opportunities through education spaces called “Spots,” with a focus on female empowerment and environmental action. Together, we are making a group of people who want to make changes in their communities.

Since 2016, we have worked closely with more than 250 local volunteers to help 50 towns create and run community-led and owned learning spaces called “Spots.” This was done as part of a plan to help them move toward our “Dream Spot Model.” We are working on a model for a community-led learning place with network participation that could be used all over the world.

Job Descriptions

In this job, you will report directly to the CEO and be in charge of all of our Ghana-based staff’s performance management and development. This will mean taking charge of the hiring and onboarding processes, as well as managing key staff and making a clearer plan for professional growth.

We’re looking for a strong leader who can motivate, manage, and teach our talented team, helping them to really thrive and grow as EduSpots grows. The person will be able to make sure that the team works well together to reach lofty goals and also encourage a culture of creativity, teamwork, and initiative.
