A reputable rural bank in the Eastern Region is looking for experienced and suitably qualified persons to be considered for the following vacant positions:
POSITION: HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCE
Job Role:
The Human Resource Manager will plan, lead, select, develop, and coordinate activities and staff of the Human Resource (HR) of the bank ensuring legal compliance with Human Resource issues, implementing the organization’s mission and talent strategy, and reviewing Human Resource policies to be in line with current trends in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead HR projects like compensation plans revisions
- Implement functional HRMS and maintain an internal staff database across all Departments, Units, and Branches.
- Oversee payroll and performance evaluation systems
- Design company policies and procedures on HR Administration of the bank
- Review and update the bank’s employment contracts and agreements
- Prepare budgets for the department on an annual basis
- Track key HR metrics.
- Manage internal communication projects (like job satisfaction surveys)
- Measure the effectiveness of the bank’s benefits programs and recommend appropriate improvements if necessary.
- Coordinate employee training and development initiatives.
- Facilitate staff appraisal
- Plan and forecast HR needs of the bank.
- Promote industry harmony and work ethics.
- Revise our PMS to be abreast of current trends
Qualification. Knowledge, Experience, and skills
- At least a University degree in business Administration (HR Option) or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university
- Masters from recognized University and member of Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Ghana. (CHRMs an added advantage
- Work experience as a Head of HR Operations or similar role for a period of not less than 10 years in the banking industry.
- Must be prepared to charter in CIHRM within two years.
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems including payroll tools
- Experience in designing compensation and benefits programs
- Good knowledge of relevant laws applicable to HR administration in Ghana.
- Leadership skills
