Automotive Mechanical Trainer at World Food Programme
JOB PURPOSE:
The Automotive Mechanical Trainer will be under the supervision of the Project Manager of the Accra Training Centre. The incumbent’s duties required shall include but are not limited to the following:
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and run training and workshops for groups that take place in person.
- Prepare training materials and make sure the face-to-face training sessions are set up right.
- Make sure that all teaching materials and training tools are always in good shape.
- Make sure that the training materials for both in-person and online sessions match the goals of the training.
- Work with outside partners to plan the creation of teaching materials for online and in-person sessions.
- Make sure the training materials include and are up-to-date with the latest technology trends.
- Do evaluations before and after training and suggest changes when needed.
- Do any other tasks asked of you that are related?
Needed Qualifications and Experience
- You must have at least a high school diploma or a certificate from a trade school or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Proven experience as an automotive diagnostic specialist or workshop manager for at least 7 years. It would be a plus if you had experience teaching skilled professionals or apprentices.
Language: Be able to speak and write fluently in the UN language used at the duty station and, if different, the language of the duty station. Having French would be a plus.
