Fellowships Abroad: MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Program 2024-25

The MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Program 2026-26 provides comprehensive financial support to students from underprivileged backgrounds in Egypt and Lebanon through fully financed scholarships. This initiative, supported by the U.S. Department of State’s Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), provides students in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region with the means to gain authority and control over their own lives.

Participants will get education from prestigious American-style universities, such as the American University of Beirut, the American University in Cairo, and the Lebanese American University. They will enhance their leadership abilities through a combination of outstanding academic performance and practical learning opportunities.

Essential Information

The MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Program offers an all-inclusive scholarship that covers tuition fees, accommodation expenses, health insurance, entrance visas, a monthly allowance, textbooks, a laptop, and two round-trip flights to the student’s home country every year. Participants will develop and strengthen their leadership abilities by participating in internships, engaging in civic activities, and taking enrichment courses. Undergraduate students have the opportunity to pursue their studies in foreign countries, such as the United States, which allows them to acquire significant international experience and broaden their viewpoints in order to address urgent global issues.

Requirements for MEPI Tomorrow Leaders Program 2024-2025:

Bachelor’s Degree Program

• Prospective high school seniors or individuals who completed high school in 2024.
• High school graduates from Iraq, Libya, Syria, West Bank/Gaza, and Yemen who completed their education in 2023 are also eligible to apply.
• Current high school seniors are required to uphold a high level of academic performance and successfully complete their final examination.
• Display mastery in written and spoken English; a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 80 is necessary within two years of the entrance date (August 2025).
• Present evidence of financial need by submitting relevant financial documentation.
  Capability to embark on the undergraduate program and commence studies in August 2025.
• High academic achievements, maturity, capacity to adjust to new situations, and aptitude for taking charge.

Postgraduate Program:

• Proof of competency in academic English as mandated by the applicable graduate program.
• Dedication to successfully finishing the master’s degree within a span of two academic years.
• Fulfill the entrance criteria at the host university; further details can be found on the website of each institution.
• Exhibit a clear indication of requiring financial assistance by submitting relevant financial records.
• Capability to embark on the graduate program in August 2025 and engage in travel.
• High academic achievements, maturity, capacity to adjust to new situations, and capability for leading others.

• Statement of personal background and experiences (500 words) or a video lasting 5 to 6 minutes
• Essay on Social Responsibility (500 words)
• Undergraduates are required to submit transcripts for grades 10-12 and a graduation certificate.
