The Fully Funded GB Scholarship 2024-2025 is open to individuals who intend to start their undergraduate studies at Queen’s University Belfast in September 2024.

Students from England, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands who attain ABB or above in their A-levels or equivalent qualifications accepted by the university are eligible for this award.

The GB Scholarship 2024-2025 does not have an application process. If you match the eligibility criteria, you will be automatically identified during the registration and enrollment process for an approved undergraduate degree program.

GB Scholarship 2024-2025 Information

• Academic Level: Undergraduate
• Course: All bachelor’s degree programs except Foundation courses, Medicine, and Dentistry
• Eligible Students: Incoming undergraduate students from England, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands who attain ABB or above in their A-levels or similar qualifications recognized by the university.
• Deadline: There is no formal application procedure or specified deadline. Meeting the qualifying criteria will result in automatic identification after enrolling in an approved undergraduate degree program.

Scholarship Amount

• The university will grant a £2,500 subsidy for Queen’s Accommodation or an approved alternative provider during your initial year of enrollment.
• Upon commencing your studies, you will be granted a £500 stipend to assist with travel expenses and relocation fees to Belfast.
• Furthermore, as a resident of Queen’s Accommodation, you will also enjoy the following:

Conditions and terms

• Students must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program at Queen’s University Belfast for the first time to qualify.
• Students must attain a minimum grade of ABB in their A-levels or comparable qualification(s) accepted by the university. At the time of registration and enrollment, the awarding bodies’ final grades will be the sole criterion for eligibility.
• The grant will only be accessible if the student has enrolled in an approved undergraduate degree program and opted to reside in university housing or with an approved provider.
• £2,500 is allocated for Queen’s Accommodation or an alternate contracted provider. This is non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-negotiable for cash.
• A payment of £500 will be made in the initial year of study.
• Students must be residents of England, Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man and be subject to tuition costs of £9,250.
• Students are required to submit an application via UCAS and register for the program in 2024.
• The undergraduate grant does not apply to students seeking admission to foundation degree courses in medicine, dentistry, agricultural technology, or the Queen’s colleges in Stranmillis and St. Mary’s.
• Students admitted through UCAS Clearing and Adjustment are not eligible for the GB Scholarship.

Selection Process

Queen’s University Belfast, like other similar universities, offers admission based on specific grades rather than UCAS tariff points, as outlined in our Prospectus and Admissions Policy. AS level or EPQ qualifications are not considered. AAC does not meet the scholarship standards equivalent to ABB. A distinction* in BTEC is equivalent to an A in A level, whereas a distinction is equivalent to a B.

The Scholarship Allocation Panel makes decisions regarding undergraduate scholarships, and all decisions are final. The university will not entertain any appeals on the judgments reached by the panel.

The university can revoke a scholarship from individuals who provide false information about their eligibility and may request restitution of any funds previously disbursed through suitable methods.

If a student withdraws from their degree before finishing and has received an undergraduate award, they typically will not be asked to return any award funds received up to the withdrawal point.

EXCLUDED COURSES

The GB Scholarship does not consider applications from students who are applying for:

Medicine, Dentistry, Agricultural Technology, Foundation Programs, and Queen’s Colleges at Stranmillis and St. Mary’s are the unavailable programs. The GB scholarship is only for students entering in 2024.

GUIDE TO APPLYING FOR GB SCHOLARSHIP 2024-2025

Applicants are not required to submit an application form to be eligible for the GB Scholarship for the 2024–2025 cycle. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will be immediately identified upon enrolling in an approved undergraduate degree program. Successful candidates will receive notification of their prize via email.
