2022 DAAD – EPOS Scholarships for Developing Countries

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)’s Educating Professionals for Sustainable Development (EPOS) scholarships program has opened applications for the 2023/2024 academic year.

About the 2022 DAAD – EPOS Scholarships for Developing Countries

DAAD offers a fully funded scholarship to young professional S from developing countries to pursue a one or two year post graduate course in their chosen field.

Who can apply?

Graduates who have a professional experience of two years and comes from one of the following developing countries.

Benefit of the scholarship
  • A monthly allowance depending on the level of education, for those pursuing their masters, they are given an amount of €850 and €1200 for doctoral candidates.
  • Health, accident and personal liabilities insurance covers
  • Travel stipends
  • One time study allowance

Additionally, scholars may benefit from monthly rent subsidy and contribution to any extra tuition that the university may charge.

What makes you eligible for selection?
· Applicants must fulfill the necessary academic requirement and should successfully complete a study program in Germany. The applicant should successfully complete the DSH 2 or TestDaF 4 language exam before the start of the course.
  • Must have at least two years professional experience after completing their first degree.
  • First degree should not be more than six years old.
  • Be working for a public authority or in a private sector
  • Have a university degree with average results.Required documents
  • Motivation letter
  • Signed CV
  • Recommendation letter from employer
  • Certificate of employment from employer
  • Copies of Academic certificates.
  • Copies of academic transcript
  • Proof of language skills i.e. TOEFL and IELTS and German courses taught in German

How to apply

1. Choose a course you have an interest in. A maximum of three courses is allowed.
2. Send your applications to universities that are offering your preferred courses.
3. Directly send your applications to the universities offering the courses you chose.
4. A potential candidate is chosen by the selection committee for the DAAD-EPOS award
5. Suggested applicants will be contacted by DAAD to upload their full application to the DAAD portal or click on the tab below.
6. There will be a final selection process and suggested applicants will be notified.
