ROLE: Accounts Payable and Claims Specialist
Your Role:
The Accounts Payables and Claims Specialist will make sure the financial system works well by managing cash flow, collecting payments from clients, and making sure payments are made on time. We’re looking for a skilled financial expert to join our accounts team and help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely way.
The candidate will have a daily and ongoing effect on financial transactions, keeping the organization on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners. The role will help the organization improve its financial transactions and systems by reconciling payments and customer accounts, communicating discrepancies to the management team, identifying slow-paying customers, strengthening and growing relationships with clients by communicating with customers about past-due accounts, and streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
The best candidate will be honest and secretive when reporting on finances, and they will follow all national and local financial rules.
Key Accountabilities
Receivables
- Follow financial policies and procedures when you process and record payments.
- Follow up with customers to help them pay their bills on time.
- Reconcile the Accounts Receivable ledger to make sure that all payments have been recorded and accounted for.
- Make financial statements and reports that show the status of accounts receivable and lead the monthly review of AR Aging balances.
- Keep accurate records of financial contacts, payment terms, and credit limits for each customer.
- Manage processes more efficiently and effectively by making improvements all the time.
- As needed, help with ad hoc accounting tasks.
Payables
- Post business transactions, process invoices, and check financial information to keep records for accounts payable.
- Give the organization the administrative help it needs to pay its bills.
- Keep careful records of bills that are still due.
- Make sure that a company’s financial documents are correct for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
- Protect businesses from getting paid too much by accident.
- Use good monitoring to make sure that payments to vendors are made on time.

- How they learned and what they know
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in accounting
- Experience in the FMCG industry is a plus if you know how to use SAP.
- At least three years of experience
- Knowledge of modern Credit Management Systems and Processes in depth.
- Knowledge of how to use MS-Office programs, Excel, and accounting software
- Math skills that are very good
- Understands the basics of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping. Great at keeping track of time and paying attention to details.

- Good at analyzing things and paying attention to the details
- Good business sense for solving problems Experience with financial risk management
- Ability to work with big ERP systems
- Confidence to work with a variety of parties
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to figure out what to do first when you have a lot to do.
