Unilever Announces New Job Opportunity
Job Title: Assistant Manager Regulatory Affairs
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
This is a very important business function that helps Unilever bring out important new ideas and meet its strategic goals for the future. The technical part of R&D is called “Regulatory Affairs.”
You will be in charge of connecting and translating the science behind our products to make the most impactful claims and support business growth in line with business strategies. You will also need to be able to connect with a wide range of functions, both inside and outside the company.
JOB SUMMARY
- With at least 5–7 years of R&D experience, it’s best to have a background in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Foods Technology.
- Expertise and a track record in Regulatory Affairs, with a focus on Advocacy and Innovation Guidance.
- Relationships with regulators and industry groups, as well as participation in technical regulatory committees
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Confidence to talk to people from different departments, regulators, and senior stakeholders, as well as the ability to get respect from them.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of the rules
- Enthusiasm and passion, along with strong skills for persuasion.
- Strong communication is needed at every level:
Internal
- R&D, marketing, public relations, legal, supply chain, and finance; customer service
- Regional and worldwide Network and Project Leaders
External
- Regulatory bodies, outside technical forums, and trade groups
