Regarding Ulster University

Our university is well-known both nationally and internationally for its achievements in innovation, excellence, and regional involvement. We have played a significant role in the social, cultural, and economic advancement of Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland is home to Ulster University, a public institution with multiple campuses. On the island of Ireland, it is the second-biggest university and the largest in Northern Ireland.

Originally founded as the New University of Ulster in 1968, it amalgamated with Ulster Polytechnic in 1984 and presently encompasses four campuses in Northern Ireland: Belfast, Coleraine, Derry (Magee College), and Jordanstown. In addition to its vast distance learning program, the university maintains branch campuses in Birmingham and London.

Ninety-two percent of graduates are employed or pursuing further education six months after graduation, making it one of the highest employment and further study rates in the UK. The Special Collections and Rare Books service of the University Library is in charge of maintaining, promoting, and expanding the library’s rare and historic research collections. The library functions as a single service on all four campuses.
