UK GREAT Scholarships: Edge Hill University Scholarship 2024

Edge Hill University is providing four scholarships to students from Ghana, Mexico, Nigeria, and Vietnam who are applying for postgraduate studies in collaboration with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign.

To provide postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam with access to top-notch higher education opportunities in the UK, 72 UK universities and the British Council launched the GREAT Scholarships 2024 program.

Concerning this chance

The scholarship program provides students pursuing a one-year postgraduate study in the UK with financial support of at least £10,000. The 72 universities located in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland accept applications from students for courses in a variety of subjects.

The entire tuition fee waiver associated with this scholarship will be given to the selected candidates, and their offer letter will be revised accordingly.

Scholarships cannot be postponed and are only available for the September 2024 intake.

Applications close on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (GMT).

Qualifications

Applicants need to:

• possess a passport from Vietnam, Ghana, Mexico, or Nigeria.
• be an independent learner
• have applied to enroll in Edge Hill University’s September 2024 full-time postgraduate program.
• maintain an offer to enroll in a full-time postgraduate program at Edge Hill University starting in September 2024 by the deadline of May 31, 2024.
• not be receiving any additional funding, including grants from outside organizations like Chevening, etc.

NOTE:

Applications that are submitted after the deadline or those that do not have a study offer by then will not be eligible for this award. In the unlikely event that your scholarship application is accepted, we strongly suggest you apply to Edge Hill University before April 2024 to avoid any delays in your academic path.

HOW TO APPLY?

Application process

Once you’ve been accepted into Edge Hill University’s full-time postgraduate program, you can apply for the British Council GREAT Scholarship by filling out the application.

An awarding panel will then review the applications. Representatives from the International Office staff, the International Student Support Officer, and Admissions will make up the panel.

Based on the answers you provided in your scholarship application, the panel will evaluate the applications. All panelists are aware that applications will vary widely in terms of abilities, characteristics, and life experiences, and that those whose applications are shortlisted might be invited to participate in a video interview with the selection committee.

The panel will select the final award recipients and reserve candidates, who will be notified by May 31, 2024, at the latest.
