The Foundation is active in all 54 African countries and was founded by African investor and philanthropist Tony O. Elumelu, C.F.R.

Our programs, research, communities, advocacy, and convenings—including the annual TEF Forum, Africa’s largest entrepreneur gathering, and TEFConnect, Africa’s digital hub for entrepreneurs—implement our mission. The Foundation uses its public, and private, and developed connections to promote prosperity for all.

Tony Elumelu pledged $100 million to empower 10,000 African entrepreneurs over 10 years with the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme in 2015. The Foundation is increasingly sharing its robust delivery platform and working with institutions like the UNDP, the African Development Bank, the International Committee of the Red Cross, GIZ, and United Bank for Africa Plc to create meaningful and lasting impact across Africa.
