Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), a prestigious institution in Ho Chi Minh City and the first Vietnamese university to be listed in the top 500 globally by THE World University Rankings, is pleased to announce the initiation of its TDTU Scholarship Programs for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

These scholarships are open to overseas students and provide financial assistance for undergraduate programs taught in both English and Vietnamese. They offer outstanding possibilities to access high-quality education, covering a range of tuition and dormitory expenses from partial to full coverage.

Academic Level

There are three distinct sorts of undergraduate programs available to international students.

Scholarship Benefits at Ton Duc Thang University

The following are the advantages of each scholarship program provided by Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) for the 2024-2025 Academic Year:

Scholarships available for undergraduate programs conducted in the English language.

Advantages of a Full Scholarship:

  • Full Tuition charge Coverage: Provides complete coverage for the undergraduate program’s tuition charge, with the exception of any retaken courses.
  • 100% Dormitory Fee Coverage: This covers the entire expense of dormitory accommodation.

Advantages of a Partial Scholarship:

  • Partial tuition fee coverage ranging from 50% to 75% depends on the scholarship given.
  • 100% Dormitory Fee reimbursement: Complete reimbursement of all expenses related to dormitory lodging.

Also, Scholarships are available for undergraduate programs that are taught in Vietnamese.

Advantages of a Full Scholarship:

  • Full tuition fee coverage for Vietnamese language class: Includes the complete payment for the Vietnamese language course, with the exception of retaken courses.
  • Full tuition fee coverage is provided for the undergraduate program, with the exception of retaken courses.
  • As well as, Full coverage of dormitory fees: Includes the complete cost of dormitory lodging.

Advantages of a Partial Scholarship:

  • Full tuition fee coverage for Vietnamese language class: Includes the complete payment for the Vietnamese language course, with the exception of retaken courses.
  • The undergraduate program offers partial tuition cost coverage ranging from 50% to 75%, depending on the grant awarded.
  • 100% Dormitory Fee Coverage: All fees associated with dormitory lodging are fully covered.

Criteria for maintaining a scholarship:

  • For programs conducted in the English language:
  • Achieve a minimum GPA of 6.0 for every academic year.
  • For programs conducted in the Vietnamese language:
  1. Obtain a passing score on the Vietnamese language proficiency test at the B2 level to gain admission into the undergraduate program.
  2. Achieve and sustain a minimum GPA of 5.0 for every academic year.

Eligible Nationalities

  • This grant is available to both domestic and international students from any country.

Requirements for eligibility

Prerequisites for academic eligibility:

  • Education Requirement: Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or its equivalent, obtained in the years 2022, 2023, or 2024.
  • The minimum required GPA is 6.5/10.0, based on the final year’s grades.
  • Please be aware that individuals who possess an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma are only eligible for combined training programs that result in the attainment of a single degree.

Requirements for Language Proficiency:

1. Bachelor’s Degree Programs Conducted in the Vietnamese Language:

  • Applicants for the Vietnamese Language competency Test must possess a result or certificate indicating a minimum B2 level of competency in the Vietnamese language.
  • TDTU Vietnamese Language Study: Alternatively, candidates have the option to enroll in a one-year Vietnamese language study program at TDTU and successfully achieve a minimum B2 level on the final Vietnamese language proficiency test.

2. English-taught Undergraduate Programs:

  • Native English Speakers: Individuals who are citizens of nations where English is the primary language are not required to fulfill this obligation.
  • For the IELTS requirement, applicants must possess a valid IELTS score of at least 5.5 or hold an English language competence certificate that is equivalent.

Further prerequisites:

  • Field of study: Pharmacy
  • Final Year GPA: The final year GPA must be classified as “Good” or higher.
  • The minimum requirement for the average Chemistry score in the final year of high school or equivalent is 7.0/10.0.
  • Applicants for the Bachelor’s degrees in Architecture, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Industrial Design must undergo an aptitude assessment test organized by TDTU.
