Concerning Georgia State University

Since 1913, Georgia State University has changed students’ lives, pushed the limits of knowledge, and shaped future leaders by combining rigorous academics with a full college experience.

The university has one of the most diverse student groups in the country. Its five Perimeter College campuses and downtown Atlanta Campus offer associate’s to graduate degree programs for tens of thousands of people. Georgia State is the national model for student success because it graduates students from all walks of life at the same high rate.

Some of the country’s most important businesses and groups are located on Georgia State’s more than 100-acre campus in the middle of Atlanta. Students, staff, and teachers have unmatched access to the city’s major attractions, industries, and job opportunities because they live close by and have important relationships with universities.

The university is a hub of activity and efficiency that brings business to downtown Atlanta and helps the economy grow. Georgia State can now reach more people in the metro area thanks to its five Perimeter campus sites connected to Clarkston, Decatur, Dunwoody, Newton, and Alpharetta.

Georgia State is a major force behind Atlanta’s growth, economic mobility, and cultural vitality. Its physical footprint keeps growing through new construction, acquisitions, and creative reuse of old buildings. Georgia State’s investment in the city includes shaping the workforce by hiring thousands of people and helping graduates find jobs. Almost 70% of Georgia State alumni live and work in Atlanta.
