POSITION: Restaurant/Cafe Manager
We are looking for a dedicated, passionate, and proactive manager who appreciates working in a fun, diverse workplace. The candidate will develop and build the firm, hire and train employees, and ensure that clients residing in the Osu area receive exceptional service.
The manager will promote and expand the firm, hire and educate employees, and guarantee that consumers receive exceptional service. The candidate will assist in managing our social media platforms, inventories and resources, planning promotional events, ensuring that quality and safety rules are followed, and setting business goals to grow sales and optimize profit. Candidates must also be familiar with Office 360, particularly Excel; the selected candidate will be needed to create monthly P&L statements.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate supplier contracts, stock goods, and restock supplies.
- Set goals and manage budgets.
- Hiring and training employees to give exceptional service to customers.
- Creating timetables to guarantee that the café is always fully staffed.
- Establishing and enforcing quality and safety standards.
- Help administer and monitor all of our social media sites.
- Plan and participate in promotional events.
- Maintaining a courteous, clean, and safe environment for consumers.
- Ensure that the café complies with all local and district regulations.
- Cooking experience is required, or at the very least the ability to become acquainted with the kitchen.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/HND/BSc Hospitality Management
- A minimum of two years of experience in restaurant and hospitality management.
- A solid understanding of company management and accounting principles.
- Outstanding computing, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- The ability to defuse difficult circumstances and resolve confrontations.
- Willingness to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Ability to complete jobs with relatively few instructions.
- PREFER TO LIVE CLOSE TO THE OSU NYANIBA AREA.
