International students can apply for the 2025 Fairleigh Dickinson University USA Scholarships. Undergraduate and graduate programs in any of the subjects taught at Fairleigh Dickinson University are eligible for the award. The scholarship application deadline is May 1, 2025.

Benefits of Scholarships

Scholarships for International Students Based on Merit

• International students can apply for merit-based scholarships from FDU depending on their academic achievement. These scholarships are given out at the time of acceptance and, under certain restrictions, may be renewed every year.
• The FDU International Scholarship has an annual maximum of $24,000 and is renewable for a maximum of four years. Academic quality is the deciding factor, and SAT/ACT scores are not necessary.
• Students who live on the Metropolitan campus are eligible for the $3,000 annual Global Housing Grant, which is renewable for a maximum of two years. The criteria for this grant are extracurricular activity, financial necessity, and academic merit.
• Families with two or more dependent children attending FDU at the same time are eligible for the FDU Family Grant, which is $1,500 annually. For undergraduates, the award is renewable for a maximum of four years.
• The offspring of Alumni Grant provides dependent offspring of FDU alumni with $1,500 annually. Undergraduates are eligible for a maximum four-year renewal of this scholarship.

Scholarships for athletes

Students who compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and have exceptional athletic skill are also eligible for athletic scholarships from FDU. Subject to Division I rules and regulations, these scholarships are only available at the Metropolitan campus and provide up to full tuition and lodging.

Scholarships for Transfer Students

Scholarships at FDU are also available to international transfer students.

• The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship honors transfer students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) for their academic achievement. There is a two-year maximum renewal period for this scholarship.
• Based on academic performance and renewable with continuous full-time enrollment, the FDU International Transfer Scholarship offers up to $16,000 year.
  Scholarships for Graduate Students

Additionally, FDU graduate students can take advantage of scholarship opportunities:

• Families with two or more dependent children enrolled at FDU are eligible for the FDU Family Grant, which is $1,500 annually and renewable for a maximum of two years.
• For dependent children of FDU alumni, the Children of Alumni Grant is $1,500 annually, renewable for a maximum of two years.

Scholarship Requirements:

• A completed FDU application is required for admission.
• Given out at the moment of admittance
• Given out annually during the fall and spring semesters.
• Not applicable to a summer semester
• Renewable provided that the student is enrolled full-time, maintains a high GPA, and stays in good standing at FDU.
• Getting an award does not guarantee meeting the minimum requirements.
• Subject to specific limitations

Qualifications

Students must submit a completed FDU application for admission in order to be eligible for any of these awards. Scholarships are given out at the time of admission and are not renewable. Scholarships are also renewable if the student continues to be enrolled full-time, maintains a strong GPA, and maintains good standing at FDU.

Deadlines for applications:

Beginning in late January 2025, the spring semester begins on December 1, 2024.
May 1, 2025, for the summer semester (restricted programs)
FDU maintains a rolling admissions policy for foreign students. Please give the application three to four weeks to process. You can email your test results and application materials to global@fdu.edu or scan them and submit them to the FDU application portal. Before arriving on campus, admitted students must turn in their official documentation in sealed envelopes.
