Established in 2003, the University of Science and Technology (UST) is a partnership of public universities and research institutions in South Korea. It has 32 campuses, with the major one in Daejon and the others in Seoul, Suwon, Changwon, Ansan, and Seongnam.

The University of scientific and Technology only has a graduate school that teaches in English and focuses on scientific and engineering education and research.

There are almost 500 international students, accounting for around one-third of the overall student body of over 1,300. Over 500 students are taking PhD courses. There are about 900 full-time faculty and almost 1,400 total faculty.
