  • Individuals of Māori or Pacific Islander ancestry who have attained academic accomplishments: You are a student of Māori or Pacific Islander descent with an impressive academic track record.
  • You have achieved academic success by overcoming barriers that may have hindered your involvement in school activities.

  • Citizenship or residency requirements: Certain scholarships may necessitate that applicants hold New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or foreign student status.

Procedure for applying for the University of Auckland School Leaver Scholarship:

Application timeline for University of Auckland school-leaver scholarships:

  • Applications will commence on May 29th. Commence the process of collecting information for your application.
  • On June 25th, participate in an informative session either online or by watching a taped session.
  • In July or early August, locate and verify your endorser.
  • In mid-August, make sure to contact the endorser and strive to submit the application one week prior to the deadline.
  • The application deadline is August 21st, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
  • In early October, the decisions on the scholarships will be communicated to the recipients through email.
  • In October, please promptly accept the offer if it is awarded to you within a two-week timeframe.
