Study In Jordan: University of Jordan International Students Scholarships 2024

Students from Jordan and students from other countries are eligible to apply for the University of Jordan Scholarships for International Students 2024. Applicants to The University of Jordan are eligible to receive financing for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in any field of study that the university offers.

The University of Jordan

The institution of Jordan (UJ) was established in 1962 and has since expanded to become the largest institution in Jordan. The university in question is the inaugural institution of higher education in Jordan, founded in the capital city of Amman under an official decree issued by the monarchy in 1962. It has transformed into a comprehensive university with an additional branch located in the port city of Aqaba.

UJ has received a five-star rating from QS and has been placed in the top 591-600 universities worldwide in the QS World University Rankings 2023. The institution provides a diverse selection of academic programs through its eight internationally authorized schools, totaling 24 different programs of study.

The University is situated in the central area of Amman and is encompassed by commercial complexes, lodging facilities, dining establishments, recreational facilities, and public transportation connections. The designated legal tender is the Jordanian Dinar. Arabic is the designated official language, with English being the primary foreign language.

The objective of the University of Jordan

The objective of UJ encompasses not only achieving excellent academic standards but also implementing quality management concepts and utilizing cutting-edge technologies in its programs and initiatives. UJ has obtained worldwide accreditation for its Medicine, Rehabilitation, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Engineering, Information Technology, and Natural Science programs.

In addition, UJ boasts a highly competent academic faculty, all of whom are dedicated to achieving excellence in their respective fields. A significant number of individuals have had prominent positions in the academic, administrative, and political sectors in Jordan. Among them are ministers, advisors, deputies, and university leaders. Additionally, some have demonstrated exceptional achievements in innovation, scientific research, and literature.

There is a student clinic on the campus. The health care department offers a range of services to students, including x-rays, laboratory tests, and a pharmacy. Cases necessitating further investigation are moved to the University of Jordan’s Hospital.

UJ has produced over 200,000 graduates worldwide since its establishment, and it is ranked 301-500 globally for its reputation in employment according to the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022. The university assists its alumni office, and an impressive 82% of its graduates secure employment within one year after completing their studies.

Additionally, UJ provides 111 master programs, representing around 25% of master programs in Jordan. Furthermore, UJ offers 16 specialized programs in medicine and one in dentistry at an advanced level, along with 3 diploma programs.

Also, UJ holds the distinction of being the inaugural university in Jordan. The university, founded in 1962 and situated in the center of Amman, provides over 280 academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
