The Douglas College International Student Scholarship 2024-2025 is a scholarship available to global graduates. This information covers up to CAD 7,000 of the education fees. Up to 5 physically capable receivers will be selected annually.

This grant was established in 2017 to assist international sophomore and junior students participating in agile activities at Douglas College. It aims to support students with their accommodation needs and cover the difference between international and domestic student tuition fees.

This award is contingent on the scholar’s achievements over the academic year. Each school year, a maximum of 5 physically capable receivers will be favored. The scholarships will be divided equally between the fall and winter terms.

Categories of Scholarships

Douglas College provides around $100,000 in admission grants annually to new international students who have demonstrated academic success in their previous studies.

Currently, there are two categories of admission scholarships offered at Douglas College for the fall, winter, and summer semesters.

Douglas International Education Regional Entrance Award: $1000–$2,000

No additional application is required. Students will be evaluated upon applying to Douglas College and will be informed of the scholarship when they get an admission offer.

Accessible to students from:

• The CIS countries include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Other regions included are Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia (Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal).
• Successful candidates usually have a GPA above average (B equivalent or higher) and good results on English language proficiency tests (such as IELTS 7.0 and above, or equivalent).
• The Dr. Guangwei Ouyang International Education Entrance Scholarship is valued at $2500.
• Additional applications are needed. Applicants need to fill out the entry scholarship form (PDF) by the specified deadline and send it, along with all other documents, to Douglas International via email. Students must have already applied to Douglas College to be eligible for consideration.
• Students are chosen based on their academic achievements and involvement in school, community, or personal growth activities.

Douglas College International Student Scholarship Eligibility Requirement

To be eligible for the Douglas College International Student Scholarship, candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

Language Requirement: English

Eligible Countries: All countries worldwide.

Applicants must provide a high school diploma with a minimum GPA of 60% or above to be considered for admission.

Applicants must satisfy the English language prerequisites, which include a minimum score of 83 on the TOEFL iBT or a minimum overall band test score of 6.5 on the IELTS Academic module.
