List of University of New South Wales Scholarships
1. Australia’s Global University Award
- Scholarship Amount: A maximum of $10,000 will be deducted from the tuition cost.
- Available degrees: Bachelor’s, Master’s, and/or Doctorate.
The Global University Award in Australia offers a tuition price exemption to exceptional overseas students seeking to pursue their studies at the University of New South Wales. During the second term of their first year of study, students have the opportunity to obtain a scholarship ranging from $5,000 to $10,000, which will be applied as a tuition fee remission.
The University of New South Wales scholarship is available to all international students who will be enrolled full-time in undergraduate or postgraduate programs at UNSW, except PG online and UNSW in Canberra. Applicants must ensure their acceptance into an undergraduate or postgraduate (Master’s and/or Ph.D.) coursework program at UNSW. Eligible students may be granted admission to the institution by several offers, including an unconditional Undergraduate or Postgraduate Letter of Offer, or a conditional Undergraduate or Postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC).
There is not a distinct application for the scholarship. UNSW admission applications evaluate candidates based on their academic performance as demonstrated in their submitted documentation.
2. Scholarship for Sports at the University of New South Wales (UNSW)
- The scholarship amount is $5,000 for one year.
- Programs available: Bachelor’s, Master’s, and/or Doctoral degrees.
The University of New South Wales provides a scholarship program for students who demonstrate exceptional achievements in both athletics and academics. International athletes seeking to study or pursue higher education in Australia will be eligible for financial aid to cover their tuition fees, provided they maintain their academic performance and excel in sports.
The selection criteria will be based on the candidates’ sporting accomplishments, leadership abilities, exemplary character, and enthusiasm for joining the UNSW sports club and taking part in the Australian University Games. In addition to the aforementioned selection criteria, the institution will also take into account a reference letter from a coach, school, or sports club that will bolster the applicant’s application.
Eligible candidates for the University of New South Wales Sports Scholarship grant may secure funding from additional sports scholarship grants. These encompass scholarship scholarships that provide a sum ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 for a single academic year.
Students must be enrolled or will soon enroll in undergraduate or postgraduate programs at UNSW Sydney. They should organize a State, National, or equivalent level competition for their sports event.
3. Scholarships offered by UNSW Global
- Scholarship Amount: A maximum of $10,000 will be deducted from the tuition cost.
- Programs available: Bachelor’s degree
The UNSW Global Academic Award provides financial assistance to international students who were not directly admitted to the institution but wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree at UNSW. First-year undergraduate students will be granted a tuition fee waiver of a maximum of $10,000 for the second term of their studies.
The scholarship is exclusively awarded to overseas students who successfully finish a UNSW Global Foundation Studies Program, either in Sydney or at an off-shore location. To be eligible, individuals must have completed the application process and been accepted into an undergraduate program at UNSW.
The University of New South Wales scholarship program does not have an application. Students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and complete a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program will be highly eligible for the award.

- Certain courses may necessitate students to provide supplementary papers, such as personal statements, surveys, work portfolios, auditions, interviews, or assessments. These factors will be considered in conjunction with their admissions rank or ATAR.
- Prospective undergraduate students have the option to select various pathways for admission to UNSW. These qualifications encompass high school credentials, alternative entry certifications such as UNSW Foundation Studies, and/or UNSW Diploma.
- To pursue a postgraduate degree or research coursework, students must have successfully obtained an undergraduate degree at the university level and fulfill the specific admission requirements of their selected program.
