Study Abroad: ICT Fund BETHA Program 2025

Through the Betha program, which is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in pursuing disciplines related to information and communication technology, the ICT Fund seeks to improve the technical education of Emiratis. Applications for the BETHA Program are currently being accepted from Emirati students who are prepared to begin their master’s or undergraduate studies in the academic year 2025–2026.

The ICT Fund collaborates with several institutions and research institutes to grant scholarships to outstanding students. This initiative aims to develop a highly skilled workforce in the fields of science and technology, namely in the ICT industry, to shape the future of the UAE. The Betha program has thus far awarded numerous scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, enabling Emirati students to pursue their studies in the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Australia, and Japan.

Eligibility Criteria

Emirati students who wish to apply for the BETHA Program in ICT Fund must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Proper usage of the English language

Requirements for admission to undergraduate, baccalaureate degrees:

  • The individual must be a citizen of the United Arab Emirates and must provide a civil register as evidence.
  • Obtain a minimum score of 75% on the secondary school certificate or its equivalent from various educational institutions.
  • It is advisable to pursue a specialization in information technology and telecommunication.
  • You have completed the past three years either in high school or its equivalent.
  • Should not have received any scholarships or financial assistance from any other organization.

Admission criteria for a Master’s degree

The “BETHA program,” launched by TDRA’s ICT Fund, seeks to address the annual growth requirements of the ICT sector and the rising demand for highly skilled ICT professionals in the UAE. It aims to support academically exceptional individuals in the country to enhance the education system in ICT-related fields and improve the national education sector.

It provides support for human resources with expertise in ICT, such as computer engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, information technology, and other related fields in accordance with the ICT Fund’s strategy.

The ICT Fund has provided substantial assistance to the BETHA program, enabling the program to offer a large number of undergraduate and master’s degrees at renowned universities in the United States, Japan, Australia, the United Kingdom, and other leading countries in the field.

Required admissions materials:

  • Official Letter of Acceptance/Admission: Conditional or incomplete ones are not approved.
  • Additionally, there is an official letter from the bank with the student’s name, IBAN number, and a seal (stamp) of authenticity.

Entry criteria for a postgraduate degree program at the Masters level:

  • The need is for an individual who is a citizen of the United Arab Emirates to present the family book as evidence.
  • One should focus on the fields of telecommunication and information technologies.
  • Have achieved a cumulative score of 3.00 or above for a bachelor’s degree.
  • The user should not have been granted any scholarships or other forms of financial assistance from another university.
  • The Master’s degree student is eligible for a scholarship that covers the cost of tuition and does not include a monthly allowance for men. The absence of a No Object Letter (NOC) from the National Service Authority or a letter of completion.

Regarding Master students that are currently enrolled:

  • A minimum of nine credit hours is required to get a CGPA of 3.0 or better.

Procedure for Applying to the ICT Fund BETHA Program

  • To facilitate the application process for Emirati students, it is advisable to adhere to the prescribed application policies of the ICT Fund BETHA Program.

Please prepare pristine duplicates of:

  • Acceptance or Admission Letter (Clearances that are contingent upon certain conditions are not authorized.)
  • A validated high school diploma indicating the outcome This transcript is specifically for undergraduate students who are enrolled in the accredited undergraduate program. It is an official document that includes the registered seal and signature from the registration office. The accreditation is provided by the Ministry of Higher Education or an equivalent authority.
  • A comprehensive family book with all pages except for one; an official IBAN letter with a seal and signature from the bank (stamp).
  • Request is exclusively applicable to newly enrolled students who have not yet commenced their studies or completed the registration process.
