POSITION: Fleet Maintenance Manager
Are you an experienced automotive specialist with a passion for managing a diverse fleet, particularly Japanese saloon cars? Do you thrive in circumstances where your managerial abilities are used, and your mechanical knowledge is critical to operational success? If so, we’ve got an exciting opportunity for you!
Role Summary:
- As Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation and maintenance of our fleet, with a particular emphasis on Japan Saloon cars. Your leadership and skills will be critical in improving the safety, efficiency, and performance of our vehicles. You will report directly to the General Manager and work together to ensure the fleet’s optimal functioning condition.
Key Tasks:
- Oversee regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Japanese saloon cars.
- Conduct detailed diagnostics to discover mechanical problems and recommend necessary fixes.
- Manage the overhaul and repair of various vehicle components, such as engines, brakes, suspensions, and gearboxes.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all duties while adhering to industry standards.
- Work effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Use your technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs, services, and parts utilized.
Expected results:
- Under the General Manager’s supervision, ensure that all vehicles are kept in good working order and that any necessary repairs are completed as soon as possible.
- Monitor vehicle condition and provide timely notifications to managers regarding required technical repairs.
Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of vehicle technical systems.
- Experience in mechanics, electricity, and electronics.
- Capability to use portable tools, especially power tools.
- Extensive attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative team player.
Qualifications & Experience
- Requires 3–5 years of managerial or supervisory experience in vehicle operations. • Priority will be given to those with extensive automotive experience.
NB: You will be required to complete any other tasks assigned by the General Manager.
Location: Accra.
