Our client, who provides financial solutions, is looking for an experienced Finance and Reporting Analyst to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to consolidate financial data, assess market trends, and conduct financial audits to ensure regulatory compliance by analyzing financial information, preparing financial reports, collaborating with various stakeholders, and contributing to the company’s overall financial stability and growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a thorough financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Compile, analyze, and present financial data in clear and simple reports to management and external stakeholders while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
- Work with the Finance Manager to create financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term strategic plans that emphasize significant financial risks, predictions, and growth possibilities.
- Review financial processes, procedures, and controls on a regular basis to ensure that they are in accordance with internal policies and regulations.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to offer documentation and assistance during audits.
- Maintain and update financial databases, monitoring systems, and models to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Continuously improve data quality and consistency across several financial systems.
- To evaluate our institution’s financial situation, we monitor and assess industry trends as well as competitors’ financial performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market observations to aid in informed decision-making.
- Work with cross-functional teams, such as Operations, Risk Management, and Treasury, to guarantee financial data alignment and clear communication about financial goals, strategies, and initiatives.
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similar discipline.
- MBAs and professional certificates (such as CPA and CFA) are highly desirable.
- Must have at least two and a half (2.5) years of experience in the same or similar position.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements (such as GAAP and IFRS), financial statement analysis, and budgeting processes.
- Expertise in financial modeling, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL), and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to comprehend complicated financial data and give actionable insights.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are required to properly present financial reports and connect with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and fulfilling deadlines.
- The ability to collaborate in a team setting while still managing various projects autonomously.
- In a fast-paced financial institution, you must have strong organizational and time management abilities, as well as the ability to prioritize activities and react to shifting priorities.
