Operator Technician at Upfield
Job Description:
The Operator Technician’s main job is to run the process area according to the work instructions, check the quality of the work without damaging it, and do routine maintenance. The main job of the Operator Technician is to take care of the team’s assets.
You will help the shift-based teams run the business, and you will do planned and routine maintenance according to the manager’s planned maintenance schedule.
Moreover, You will help clean, lubricate, and inspect plants and equipment based on the manager’s maintenance schedule, and you will also fix things as they break down. You will use the right troubleshooting and problem-solving methods to solve problems and make sure they are planned well, carried out safely, on time, in full, and within budget. Overall, you will always work in a safe way and point out unsafe work practices so that they can be fixed. This is in line with the policies and procedures of Upfield.
If you can do mechanical maintenance work in accordance with the relevant SHE policies and procedures and with a good understanding of quality and technical standards, you may be able to get this job.
Requirement
So, what do you need to do to be good at this job?
- You will need to have at least three years of relevant technical experience with how the equipment works and how the packaging process works in an FMCG environment or in a similar industry.
- You will have at least a Technician Part III Mechanical Engineering qualification or a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering ( preferable).
- If you have managed engineering and supply chain projects before, that’s a plus.
