POSITION: Credit Recovery Officer
Position Description
- Carry out loss mitigation and recovery operations on delinquent or charged-off accounts in accordance with our internal controls and tax and legal requirements.
- Maintain a record of outstanding bills.
- Plan a strategy for recovering money that is owed to you.
- Find and contact debtors.
- When legal action is unavoidable, follow the rules.
- Respond to consumer inquiries or complaints
- Negotiate payoff dates and payment schedules.
Requirements
- A first-year degree in administration/management is required.
- 5 years of experience working in a risk management setting.
- A solid track record in management and credit risk experience at a dynamic financial or banking institution is a plus.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Capability to act on one’s own initiative and meet deadlines.
- Microsoft Office tool proficiency.
- Capability to support teams while remaining committed to reaching goals.
