ROLE: Global Recruitment Officer – Ghana

About the job

The major goal of this position is to work as a part of the University of Leicester’s Team Africa in Accra, Ghana, at the MYIO office. Reporting directly to the Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Manager.

POSITION

The position holder will represent the University of Leicester professionally, working directly with potential students and key stakeholders to drive recruiting. They will efficiently manage and expand a network of partners while maintaining our favorable brand image. The successful candidate will support the region’s strategic activity and contribute to the team’s research and operations to guarantee that all targets are fulfilled and our brand is enhanced.

To guarantee a consistent and sector-leading approach, the applicant will collaborate closely and effectively with the Future Students’ Office and departmental teams such as Admissions, Global Business Operations, Marketing, and Alumni Engagement. The applicant will be expected to make ad hoc recruitment trips to important cities in Ghana and abroad. Working at odd hours and on weekends during critical moments in the recruitment cycle is necessary to provide applicants and partners with excellent service.

Key Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting recruitment targets for allocated markets in accordance with institutional goals.
  • Plan successful, time- and cost-effective business travels that meet major objectives and individual goals.
  • Represent the University of Leicester at exhibits, schools, colleges, and universities, as well as essential partners and educational representatives in the market. Provide timely follow-up communication.
  • Conduct regular visits to agent offices and instruct agent counselors on the University of Leicester’s unique selling points and critical dates.
  • Increase our network of partner schools, higher education institutions, and sponsoring organizations. in collaboration with
  • Co-manage the team Africa email inbox and provide enquirers with clear and accurate information.
  • Build a connection with candidates from the beginning of the application process and provide flexible, continuous support and guidance throughout the recruiting cycle to guarantee our applicants in Sub-Saharan Africa are well supported via email, face-to-face, and phone.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the educational system in each area for which you are responsible, and work with the Regional Manager to ensure that this is appropriately reflected at admissions.
  • Gather high-quality industry intelligence and spot emerging market issues and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the formulation and presentation of the Regional recruitment and conversion plan.
  • Lead contact for the University of Leicester Ghana Chapter and facilitate alumni engagement and network building.
  • Create material for social media channels while adhering to the guidelines of the central marketing team. And any other duties or projects that are within the scope of the job’s purpose.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A good first-degree and/or education counseling experience
  • Understanding of the Higher Education and International Student Recruitment industries, including education institutions, entrance, and visa processes
  • Experience recruiting international students and creating overseas student recruitment channels
