Job Description
The IT Officer is in charge of supporting all of the organization’s IT services and processes in Ghana and, if necessary, around the world. In addition, the person in this job is responsible for making sure that computer operations and system development follow plans and policies when it comes to security and integrity. The person in this job will help train staff and other GES employees on how to use IT tools. For this job, you will need to visit some of our offices in different parts of the country.
Responsibilities
The IT Officer will be in charge of the following:
- Setting up, maintaining, and giving technical help to systems
- Help with training and building up skills
- Accountability for Policy

Skills or Experience Needed
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in a related field (Information Technology, Science, or Computer Science) is the minimum requirement.
- Hands-on training and a good understanding of technical management, data analysis, and computer hardware and software systems.
- At least two years of work experience in an IT-related job
- Relevant knowledge with MS365 and a wide range of software, and the ability to quickly adapt to and learn new IT systems. knowledge-giving training and putting IT policies and procedures into place.
- Strong writing and spoken communication skills are a plus.
- Experience in making training programs
- Working in small towns and villages
