Job Title: Consumer Insight Specialist
Job Description
GBfoods is looking for a full-time Consumer Insights Specialist to help the Ghana Business Unit make better business decisions by giving them cutting-edge consumer and shopper insights, research processes, and tools.
The consumer insights specialist will give a deep understanding of how the market works and what shoppers and consumers need and want. This will help with better planning and figuring out what the most important problems and opportunities are for business and brand growth.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, market research, marketing, or another business-related field.
- Work experience: 6-7 years of market research, preferably on both agency and multi-national consumer goods (preferably with a European company).
- Ability to speak and write English fluently.
- Experience with both quantitative and qualitative methods of research.
- Understanding of Retail Audit, Pricing Research, New Product Development (NPD) Research, Positioning Research, and Media/Advertising Research.
- Problem analysis, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making, with the ability to find insights and package and present them in a way that forces the organization to act on them.
- Using how people act to make predictions
- Understanding how to do digital research
- Strong quantitative skills and advanced use of Microsoft Excel, statistical software like SAS, SPSS, etc., and other tabulation software.
- Project Management: Experience defining the scope and issues of research and analysis projects, creating and executing project plans, and managing multiple tasks at the same time.
- Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
