ROLE: Digital Content And Community Officer – Support Office

About the company

Marie Stopes Ghana (MSG) was founded in 2006. It is part of MSI Reproductive Choices and is one of the biggest organizations in Ghana that focuses on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH). MSG works with the Ministry of Health and Child Care to make sure that all of Ghana’s provinces have access to high-quality, low-cost general health and SRH programs.

Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) is a non-profit group that focuses on getting results and offers services for family planning, sexual and reproductive health (SRH). The goal of MSIG is to meet the needs of Ghanaians who aren’t getting enough care and to make it much easier for them to get and use family planning and other reproductive health services.

Job Description

MSI Ghana is looking for a person who is passionate, well-organized, client-focused, and full of energy, and who has the following qualifications and experience. MSI Ghana wants to meet the needs of people who aren’t getting enough care and make it easier for them to use Family Planning and other programs for sexual and reproductive health. At MSI Reproductive Choices, we support the right to choose without any shame. We think every woman should be able to make her own decisions about her body and her future.

The Digital Content and Community Officer’s job is to make sure the organization has a consistent brand personality and a strong online presence. In this job, you’ll be in charge of making sure marketing plans get people interested and make sure they have a good opinion of the company and its products or services. He or she uses information like metrics and statistics about the demographics and preferences of the target customers to make multimedia content that raises knowledge of the brand.

The Digital Content and Community Officer will also answer calls from current and future clients about MSI Ghana’s reproductive health services and give them information and advice. They will also direct callers to other MSI Ghana service delivery points.

Key Responsibilities

MSI clients and staff are given counseling, support, and knowledge (40%)

  • Clients who contact MSI Ghana through our Contact Center will get basic advice and information about reproductive health and other related problems.
  • The person in charge of answering incoming requests quickly and according to MSI Ghana’s rules.
  • Callers can be sent to MSG centres and Bluestar Healthcare Networks, and arrangements can be made as needed.
  • Sell telemedicine services to callers who are qualified and keep track of all pre-consultations done through telemedicine.
  • Prepare and send out all packages for telemedicine clients. Call to make sure the packages are delivered safely.
  • Help escalate all telemedicine medical situations
  • Help the line manager take stock of Telemedicine supplies every month.

Management of digital communities (30%)

  • Creating and managing online communities such as social media groups, forums, google business apps, and other online platforms where members can engage with each other and with the brand.
  • Engaging with the online community by responding to comments and questions and actively looking for feedback on how to improve the brand’s goods and services.
  • Monitoring community metrics such as engagement, reach, and sentiment, and using data to inform strategies and tactics to optimize community engagement and growth.
  • Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness
  • Keeping up with industry trends and best practices and learning and changing tactics all the time to make sure the brand stays competitive in the digital space.

Digital Content creation and curation (30%)

  • Developing a comprehensive content strategy across multiple platforms, including the company-owned, earned, and paid media channels
  • Also, Working with the Brand Creative Assistant and the social media committee to plan, create, and distribute content.
  • Then, Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year
  • Creating presentations to communicate new marketing strategies to other members of the team
  • In addition, Developing marketing strategies for digital content
  • Researching topics related to the company’s products or services to create content for social media, and other digital communities.
  • Moreover, Performing regular content audits to ensure content is accurate, optimized, updated, and relevant to the target audience
  • Lastly, Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Required Skills or Experience

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Communications
  • Other professional qualifications, ideally in digital media are desired
  • At least 4 years of relevant post-graduation work experience in digital media and contact centre.
  • At least 2 years of experience working on digital content
  • Experienced Copywriter and content creator
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft office suite, Meta Suite, Canva and Google docs
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal skills. Fluent English language skills are required.
  • Ability to translate data and research into actionable insights for marketing strategic decision-making.
  • Very comfortable with using key financial & marketing metrics and extremely commercially minded.
  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects to deliver quality and on time.
  • Ability to build relationships across teams, with evidence of highly sensitive cross-cultural skills and good influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Action and results-orientated with the ability to stay on track and thrive when working under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to train, mentor and develop skills with others.
  • Ability to translate complex information into a format and language that can be understood by a wide range of people and present compellingly and engagingly.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
