POSITION: Executive Assistant

The Ghana National Association of the Deaf (GNAD) is a non-profit organization that promotes the rights of people who are deaf or hard of hearing. GNAD uses right-based advocacy to address cross-cutting concerns and improve deaf people’s access to public goods and services.

Job Description.

Applications are solicited from eligible individuals for the following positions at its national secretariat in Accra: Executive assistant.

Main responsibilities

  • Providing administrative help, such as composing and editing emails, generating memoranda, and preparing messages on behalf of the executive,.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate records
  • Performing minor accounting duties.
  • Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering as needed.
  • Answering phone calls in a polite and professional way
  • Welcome visitors and ascertain the objective of their visit before referring them to the proper department.
  • Managing the executive’s calendar, includes making appointments and prioritizing the most critical issues.

Required Skill or Experience

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and organization abilities.
  • Must be a quick typist with exceptional multitasking skills.
