POSITION: Senior Accountant
About the job
The ideal candidate will help the Chief Accountant with financial and management accounting tasks and report to the CFO about cash issues.
Key Responsibilities include
Financial/management accounting
- Keep track of when money is owed and when it is paid.
- Helping with the end of the time and making reports
- doing a study of finances
- Help with making a budget
- Do sub ledger reconciliations.
- helping with auditing tasks
Treasury
- Make cash predictions for each day, each week, and each month.
- Help the CFO with financial modeling and planning for the long run
- Organize your interactions with banks
- Help with buying foreign currency FX risk control activities
- International payment tools, such as letters of credit, IFF, etc., need to be coordinated.
- Verifying the interest on overdrafts
- Reconcile your bank accounts every day, week, or month.
- Make sure money from sales is put into bank accounts every day.
- Make directions for a bank transfer.
Others
- Provide advice to junior accountants
- Add to the price of a product
- Other jobs that supervisors may give from time to time
Qualifications
- First degree in accounting; professional certification in accounting is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 of those years in a similar job
- Strong knowledge of the technical side of financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Accounting software skills (ERP, like Microsoft Dynamics)
- Having experience with foreign exchange management and overseas payment is a plus.
- High level of skill with Microsoft Excel
- Very well organized and paid great attention to details
