- Job Title: Language Teacher/ Coordinator
- Job Location: Tema Community 25 (Educational Institution)
About the job
This school is looking for teachers and coordinators who have taught the Cambridge/IGCSE program for at least 4 years, especially in the area of teaching Spanish.
Main Duties
Planning:
- Set clear goals for teaching and learning and explain how they will be taught and tested so that students can learn the language.
- Set high expectations for teaching and learning, motivation, and the way work is presented.
Teaching & Class Management:
- Plan work based on unit planners, the Cambridge Curriculum and/or the International Baccalaureate programs of study, and the requirements of external examinations;
- Take learners’ previous levels of achievement into account and use them to set goals for improvement; Monitoring, evaluating, keeping track of, and reporting
- Figure out how well the learning goals have been met and use that information to improve certain parts of the teaching;
- Write up and give parents informative reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in education, a related field, or something similar. Having more education and/or more qualifications is a plus.
- At least 4 years of experience teaching in a progressive way and taking responsibility for education
- Any other tasks that the Line Manager and/or management tell you to do as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Skills that are technical
- Proof of the right kind of on-the-job training
- At least three years of experience teaching the language.
- Knowledge of the IB and/or Cambridge curriculum is a plus.
Skills, abilities, knowledge, and understanding
- A good understanding of how students learn, how teachers can best teach, and how to reach high standards.
- High levels of oral, written, and ICT communication skills.
